So one Sunday as I was sitting in the car waiting for Rick to be done with his meeting after church, I had this overwhelming desire to be at the beach. I mention it to Rick and an hour and a half later we were packed and beach bound! (Sigh...I wish we could do that maybe once a week!) We made hotel reservations from the road, the kids watched a movie and napped and we enjoyed a peaceful drive. The sun was already setting when we arrived so we checked into our hotel and headed to one of our favorite haunts for dinner. (The Sea Shanty) After dinner we had our traditional night time beach adventure, then back to the hotel for some sleep. The next morning we grabbed some breakfast then hit the Embarcadero!
Later we spent some quality time down by the water, building sand castles and exploring the tide pools! Lilly loves the idea of going to the beach until she gets there. (She hates for her feet to get dirty, and despises being wet and cold.)

Jackson has no issues being sandy, wet, or cold so the beach is a perfect place for him to have fun!
Matthew would spend all day (from sun up to sun down) playing at the shore! The kid loves exploring the tide pools and playing in the water!

As usual we had so much fun and our time at the coast was over too fast!! We can't wait for our next trip!!
