Rick passed medic school and finished his training he has two national test left that he will complete in the next month or so then they will promote him to a paramedic position at work!!  We are super proud of him, the course he went through was accelerated and extremely challenging but he passed with flying colors!!!

Then and Now!!

Then: Lilly January 2012

And Lilly Now:December 2012

Lilly has grown so much this year, especially her hair!!!  She is certainly not a baby anymore!!  If you ask her she will tell you she is Princess Pills.  She still is a major daddy's girl!  She likes to color and play with her brother!!  Her favorite color is pink or yellow and she is also becoming a social butterfly!! She loves to do anything her brother is doing (good and bad)!  She is sweet and oh so sassy and we love her to pieces!!

Then: Matthew January 2012

And Matthew now:  December 2012

Matthew has grown up so much this year!!  He is becoming such a little man!!  He loves Lego's and coloring a doing basically anything that allows him to work with his hands!!  He would spend every possible moment outside if we would let him!!  He has two best friends Lilly and his little buddy Jonas!!  His favorite color is blue and he has never met anyone whom he doesn't consider a friend!
He desperately wants to play sports this next year so we will see how that goes!  He is a sweet fun-loving little boy and we sure do love him!!

2012 has been a wonderful year for our family!!  We hope this year had been equally as good for everyone, and hope that the New Year brings happiness and health to all!!

Much Love,

December

Well December has been a whirlwind!!!  Even after trying to mainstream everything so we could focus more on this special season it still seemed to fly by!!  We did get to do a few Christmas crafts, which the kids loved!!

We bought a Christmas tree the weekend of Rick's birthday (which was a pretty quiet affair this year) we also put the Christmas lights up on the house that same day.  The kids really loved decorating the tree this year, and I left it exactly the way the decorated it!  On Ricks birthday we had cake and played a few games.

We started the elf on the shelf tradition this year which yielded amazing results from Matthew!!  Both kids had certain things they wanted for Christmas this year!!  The elf helped insure that their behavior was worthy of Santa's coming!  Matthew really wanted a tank and a skate board, and anytime you asked Lilly what she wanted from Santa her answer was simple, "princess."

We had our traditional decorating of the gingerbread houses with Rick's family which is always fun!  This year it was boys v girls.  so we ended up with two ginger bread houses!!  Matthew decorated his and Rick's almost entirely Rick applied the icing and Matt applied the candy!  Lilly was more interested in simply eating the candy so I was pretty much on my own!

The kids couldn't wait for Santa we had several countdowns going on around the house; advent calenders, Christmas chains and a chalk board count down!

Grandma got these cuties some super cute Christmas outfits!!

On Christmas eve we went on our traditional ride around town to look at Christmas lights in the motor home with my family!!  After looking at lights we headed home to put the kiddies to bed so Santa could come, but first Grandma read them a Christmas story!!

The next morning the kids were over joyed to see that Santa had come!!

Rick was pretty excited too!  We lucked out, we got to have Rick home on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day this year, we were very blessed all the way around this year!!

After we opened gifts we got dressed and headed over to my parents house for more Christmas festivities!!  I didn't take very many pictures of Christmas day I feel sad knowing I missed so many cute memories but I just kept forgetting...pregnancy brain I guess.

The day after Christmas I took the kids outside to tryout some of their new toys!!

We truly had a wonderful Christmas full of love and blessings!!  I hope that the holidays have found everyone else in good health and happy!!  From our Family Merry Christmas!!
