New Beds!!!

The new beds are here!  After endless browsing trying to find the perfect bunk beds for Matthew and Lilly I found these beauties on Amazon.com.  I absolutely love these beds!  I was very apprehensive about having a ladder in their bed room and Matthew trying to climb down in the middle of the night.  We also only have room for one dresser in their bed room and as they continue to grow we need more and more storage room for clothes.  These bunk beds solved all of our problems! Stairs instead of a ladder and each step in the staircase is a drawer!!!    

The kids absolutely love their new beds!  Moving Lilly from her crib to her new bed has been a breeze!  These beds also separate into two regular twin beds, so down the road when we have more room they can still use these beds!!  

Rick and I also got a new bed!!!  It was over due!  We upgraded to a bigger bed as well!  It's amazing how much better we sleep now that we have a new mattress!!

Spring Cleaning

2012 has started with some early spring cleaning! Making room for all the new goodies from Christmas and getting rid of stuff we don't need! I've had to come up with some creative ideas for organizing the kids bedroom, it is seriously the smallest bedroom ever! So I turned the hall right out side of their bedroom into Lilly's play kitchen area!

Also the next project for their room will be new beds! Matthew has out grown his toddler bed...and it's only a matter of time before Lilly learns to escape from her crib! (We actually need new beds all around!)

Lilly has become such a little diva! She is so prissy and sassy and she loves to dress up!

Matthew and Lilly's sibling bond continues to grow they play more and more together each day (they still get on each others nerves but they are doing much better! It's moments like these, when they are getting along and enjoying each others company that makes parenthood so sweet!

Lilly continues to horrify me by climbing everything she can! I recently pulled a string of my good pearls out of her mouth...she got a hold of them by climbing to the top of my dresser.

We stayed home and had a quiet Valentines Day this year. Rick had to work but had these delivered for me!

Lilly's favorite person in the whole world is still her daddy.

I captured the sweetest moment a few days ago Matthew and Lilly were spontaneously giving each other hugs (which doesn't happen very often!) I was lucky enough to snap a picture of the sweet moment before this happened. (Picture below)

One of my new years resolutions was to exercise more, lucky for me I have two little buddies alone for the ride!
